WHAT TO EXPECT

We invite you and your family to come as you are and join us with an open heart ready to experience God’s presence and power! We know it can be unnerving and awkward to visit a new church, so we want to make it as easy as possible for you to feel comfortable the moment you walk in the doors. Here is what you can expect at Grace Community Church.

What’s waiting for me inside?

Regardless of which doors you enter, you’ll be greeted warmly by a member of GCC’s Hospitality Team. Let them know it’s your first time at Grace, and they’ll be glad to show you around our beautiful facilities, or help you find a seat! They will provide you with our Weekly Bulletin, which highlights all of our upcoming events and ministries. In our Front Foyer, you’ll find the Connection Center. Stop by and let us bless you with a free gift! We’d love for you to fill out a Connect Card…it’s our way to communicate with you and get to know you better. You can complete as much information as you feel comfortable and turn it in when the offering baskets are passed during service or give it to any Hospitality Team member after service.

What should I wear?

We’re more concerned with meeting your real life needs than with what you wear. Most people will dress in business-casual or casual weekend attire, so dress how you feel comfortable and you’ll fit right in!

What’s available for my kids?

Kids are a very big deal at GCC! We desire to reach and teach children in such a way that they have the greatest opportunity to become fully developing followers of Christ. Our children’s ministry, GraceKids, is a safe and fun environment for kids to grow in their relationship with God and others. Our programs are designed to each unique age group and they will have a blast! If you would like for your kids to join in, our hospitality team will help direct you to our KidCheck kiosk, where a volunteer will help assist you through the check-in process. Your child will be given a nametag with a code, and you will also be given a matching tag with their unique code so you can rest assured they are secure, and you’ll be the only one allowed to pick up your child after service. You can then drop them off at your child’s class where the GraceKids Staff will welcome your child with open arms. We have Kids’ Church for those in Kindergarten through Sixth Grade, Sonshine Gang for ages 3 to school-age, and Nursery for Birth-2.
*Your child’s safety is our highest priority and so we require each of our volunteers to undergo a background check prior to being involved in our Children’s Ministries.

What’s the service like and how long is it?

Our Sunday Morning Worship Service begins at 10:30 a.m. and usually lasts until around Noon. We’re sure it will be the best 90 minutes of your week! We start our service with a time of engaging worship by the GCC Worship Team, filled with inspiring contemporary, powerful music in many different styles. It can be lively and upbeat or deep and intense worship. Our vision is to ignite a fire in the hearts of people to passionately pursue knowing Jesus Christ and our desire is that you encounter the Presence of God in an authentic way during our time together. You may see people worshipping in a variety of ways…standing, lifting their hands, clapping, or kneeling as they freely express their love for God and their thanks for what He has done in their lives. Worship is followed by a Bible-based message by our Pastor that will stir your faith and energize your growth in God.

Does Grace Community Church receive an offering?

Yes. Offering baskets are passed during the service. There are Offering Envelopes available for your giving in the seat backs. We also have an Online Giving option for your convenience here on our website, with the option to set up regular monthly tithing. Members and regular attendees are encouraged to be faithful in tithing. If you desire to give, please know Grace Community Church is devoted to being good stewards of God’s resources within our care.
